Summer Riding School

Weekly summer camp is offered July through August,  
               Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 2pm
                          For Children Ages 5+

 $585 per week
     **50% non-refundable deposit with completed form                                      for sign up**

Campers participate in daily riding instruction and leisure trail rides, as well as learning the basics of grooming, bathing, tacking, barn management, horsemanship, and daily fun activities.

Riding Instruction

Our Goals

Daily riding instruction based upon the ability of the rider.
Our instructors strive for constant growth of the rider from day to day.
 

Daily Care of all the Horses

Students learn to feed the horses at scheduled times of day.
Students learn how to check and make sure the horses are well.

Preparing their Horses

Students learn the tools used for grooming and how to apply them.
Students get the opportunity to learn how to tack up.

After Riding Horse Care

Students learn to un-tack their horses, help with bathing the horses as well as graze them. 

Horsemanship & Daily Activities

Students learn how to "emergency dismount".
Parts, colors, breeds of the horses are taught and explained.
Fun games and other horse related activities. 

  • To teach respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
  • We teach our students to be respectful of their peers and the horses; also to be responsible for another living animal.
  • By working with their peers and instructors, students learn foundations of teamwork.

Required for Summer Riding School
  • Certified ASTM Helmet
  • Paddock boots or boot above the ankle with a heeL
  • Gloves
  • Snack & lunch, money for the ice cream truck
  • Signed release form
